Unspoken, But Crucial To Your Affiliate WorK At Home Success

In the beginning there was the marketer. There are certain truths you come to understand the more time you spend making money online – or trying to.
Witness the evolution of marketing online. Whether you are new to the net game or an experienced pro, there is one thing you will have in common if you are moving towards entrepreneurial success.
As you read this article you will realize what you have in common with all the other million dollar earners online, and what you’re missing that can take you from where you are to where you want to be.
So let’s get started shall we? J
I will begin with a bullet point list and short explanation of the marketing necessities you want to have:
For starters, most established markets will already be using this by default:
- A Domain: something specific to what you want to promote like (ex.www.mysite.com)

- Hosting: a place to put your site, if you’re planning on making money – find a paid solution so you look like a credible business and you cut back on high traffic crashes.

- A website: your image your presence and your marketing message, don’t get pulled into the trap I see everywhere of trying to put too many choices on your website. Maximize on the effectiveness by only giving one purpose to a page. For example if you want to build a list - focus all your efforts and copy on that singular focus, if you want your site to sell a product, then only put that focus on your site. You’ll also need a good editing program, and an ftp software to get this up and moving.

- A merchant account: If you have something to sell, people will need a way to pay you. There are a ton of great providers out there, but there are a specific few that give your visitors the security to pull out a credit card with assurance.

- An Autoresponder: This is a real necessity if you want a business and not just a hobby. When you have a family to support this is a real no brainer. This is your email follow up service. You get a name added to your list and this is where they go. You will use this to stay in touch and build relationships with your customers and soon-to-be customers.

- A helpdesk: in the beginning when your business and sales are small you can handle all the little questions and emails yourself. One of the things that will keep a small business is small is thinking “I can do that myself” if you want to truly grow; you need to share the workload (petty tasks) and focus on what you truly want to do creatively for your business.

- Membership Site software: once you’re addicted to the internet marketing lifestyle, you will realize this oh-so-simple fact, it’s great to make a sale, but it’s even better to make a sale once and get paid for it every month. Continuity is king.

- Teleconferencing software: If you want an easy way to create and crank out high ticket products, audios and a transcript is an easy to make, high-value product.

Of course everything we’ve touched on so far only scratches the surface, but these are the necessities that not only get you started but will make you above average. Keep your eyes peeled for more articles that will take you from beginner to winner.
We’ll cover resources that will help you stay organized and expand your business to make you truly prosperous such as:
-PDF creators and converters
- Mind mapping software
- Site tools to make your business a set and forget it – money magnet
- Internet video and audio creating software
- And the how-to’s of outsourcing
Keep learning, and most important: be persistent – it will be a quality you share with the biggest money makers online today…

I have a similar list of get started tools and agree with the keeping it simple mentality. To have yourself hosted on a credible site is paramount to your success, especially when you are starting; it lends to credibility. Additionally, the safety factor in getting back up in the even of and unforeseen crash (its always on my mind). I am using a few products that make life so much easier and it seems to reel them in. ArtemisPro http://www.ArtemisPro.com gets my pages out there to publishers quick. Its almost like a cancer . . . but in a good way. When I fire up a website I like to see how it is cruising. I like speed, it is a way of life for me and Nemeas, http://www.Nemeas.com has the ability to rank my sites comparing it to other like sites. Keeps me from bogging down.

After all, with all those that are doing what we do, an inquiring mind definitely wants to know where they stand.

Thanks for the forum to vent, help and learn. I'll stop by from time to time.

You sound like you know what you are talking about when it comes to getting an internet business off the ground.

But I have a question and a comment.

The comment is everything you've said seems a bit complicated for a novice like me.

Information marketing and internet marketing seems to be rife with gurus, products and people who want to tell you what to do.

So I get even more bewildered when I see a site like http://www.InfoProdCreation.com because there is no long sales letter, no crazy hoopla, and no huge pricetag.

Yet it promises to deliver the same content as the other gurus out there.

I'm just seeing what other online marketers have to say but check out www.JamesBrausch.com for more info on a guy who is really going against the grain.

Good post.

The difference between the beginners and suffering marketers and the gurus or secretly most successful online entrepreneurs is - besides several other skills - the grade of automation they have achieved.
The guys that really make money online have managed to install systems that makes them highly effective, safes them significant time and enables them to run most parts of their taks on auto-pilot.
That´s essential for any business.
There are so many products in the marketplace and it´s almost impossible for beginners to decide what is crap and what not. Mostly the newbies get burned. Many of them bury the idea of making money online as a consequence.
I´m not about ranking different products. What is the right tool for one marketer may be ot so ideal for the next. If it´s a high quality product it still depends on the personal style someone is working and his special tasks.
One of the key elements in Internet Marketing are headlines in sales copy or advertisements that work.
Mostly it´s done by pure guess and trial and error.
What I´m using since quite a while is a software called GLYPHIUS.
The name may sound strange but ir makes my daily work a lot more easier. With Glyphius you can check and score headlines immediately. Being connected to a huge database it compares my headline with the most effective ones stored.
So I can tweak it step by step it until I have found the most effective headline.
Before I had to test them live and that sometime cost me some hard earned money.
Since I´m using Glyphius I can find the best headline within 15 minute time before I launch a campaign or an Ad.
I´m not aware of any other tool that would do that for me.

Anyway, thanks for the post.

Your article certainly shows your depth and experience dealing with the "art" of internet marketing. Your synopsis of necessary tools/skill-sets certainly includes most of the common ones. What your article does not point out is the TIME necessary to develop proficiency using each of these tools, a major stumbling block for most newbies. There are some tools which you may, after further investigation, choose to include:
1)Puzzled when choosing domain names? What criteria do you
use? I use the power of advanced
statistical analysis to help me pick superior ranking domains names. http://www.Nemeas.com
2)After following your business building steps, why not take your business one step further and automate all your tasks. FreedomBusinessSystems
shows you step-by-step how to set up your business systems
to provide you with the time and freedom you want.

Enjoyed your post and looking forward to revisiting.

Hi you guys and gals,
I can't believe how much knowledge I have just stumbled upon by coming to this site! It seems like everyone is a professional and really knows there stuff!

Just like Dave (above), I took the plunge and started using Glyphius (I think it's www.glyphius.com) and it seems to be making quite a difference in my response rate. I used to just copy other marketers' headlines and copy - this gives me the opportunity to actually test and rate my copy, rather than rely on trial and error.

You guys are awesome! Please post more great info!

You all can add me to the list of James Brausch fans here! I totally agree with you all that the man is a genious.

I believe articles and lots of them are definitely the way to go in marketing on the Internet. People want relevant content and lots of it--fast! ArtemisPro is a great help in the process of re-creating copy in ways that evade the duplication-police. It even submits your ads and copy to a database of publishers. Talk about automating your business!

I agree that the automation is the key to FREEDOM. After all, you don't want to get your internet business up and running and find out you've just invented yourself another J.O.B.

Using products from James D. Braush will certainly enable you to have a hands-free business, letting you enjoy life and work ON your business instead of IN your business.

Happy Holidays, folks!
I really enjoyed how the marketing of affiliate work was broken down for us. I think a lot of people completely overlook the actual domain name itself, what it's close to, ways to misinterpret or misspell it, etc.
Hosting is also important - I've been with the same host for almost 15 years. I know I should start thinking about someone else, but don't have the time or energy to change all the backend programming that was done nearly 10 years ago (old-school CGI).
When it comes to marketing, though, nothing beats hard work - or so I thought! For years, I have been submitting sites manually - sometimes it works, sometimes not. Lately, I've switched over to Artemis Pro to automatically submit my articles, blogs, etc. to various publishers and it's made all the difference in the world. In addition to having a lot more time on my hands to do other stuff, Artemis Pro has allowed me to really get my name out there.

Yeah, I used Nemeas (www.nemeas.com) when choosing my last batch of domain names. I like to have a lot going at the same time as mirror sites and Nemeas helped me choose ones that are more easily and more often searched by the public. It's pretty cool!

That was a very sweet blog. I admire someone who has the confidence to tell us all the good information that they know.

I'm glad you guys brought up Nemeas. I've been using Artemis Pro, one of the sister products of Nemeas, and one of many developed by James Brausch. Artemis Pro has saved me so much time, I can't even begin to tell you. I no longer spend hours and hours submitting my articles - Artemis just does it for me. Awesome!

Your blog was recommened to me by
James Brausch (http://www.jamesbrausch.com/) and I have to say it's got me hooked.

I am a newbie to online marketing, and I have gained a great deal of knowledge from your tips. I especially loved this blog and the "Seven Ways Writing Articles Can Explode Your Business" post.

LOL - a lot of James Brausch fans here I see. I've heard a lot about him too and he seems to get many recommendations. What about someone like Brian T. Edmondson? Has anyone heard of him? Do you think his insights are as good?

I actually think all the things you posted are bass-ackward!

There are only three things you need for internet success.

Traffic
+
Good Copywriting
+
Product (in this case a highly converting affiliate product)

That's it - this isn't rocket science, it's simple math.

Take a look at ==>

He is the real deal.

I found a lot of insights from your article. The one problem I had in the beginning of my WAH career was finding a way to create Amazing DVD Covers
for my products, but with the help of some great people http://www.AmazingDVDCovers.com
I was up in running in no time! Hopefully they can help someone else.

Hi,
Great blog. This is my first time here and just wanted to say how pleased I am with all the helpful comments left by your readers. I, too, have had my share of troubles making money online and getting everything set up. I am currently in a great program that is helping me tremendiously. The pay stinks (none) but the value I am receiving from http://www.OnlineBusinessInternProgram.com is something I will be able to use for the rest of my life.

Nothing beats learning by actually doing and the price is right. Free!

Thanks again and I'll be back.
